I hope you’ve been playing along during our #MonthofMischief challenge.  I know that Janelle from Perpetual Mischief and I have been having a blast!  This week we are posting one challenge every day to keep us all on our toes.  It doesn’t have to be big, just a little activity to remind yourself to relax, play, and have fun with your family.

Don’t forget to share your ideas and activities on our social media accounts.  Use the hashtag #MonthofMischief so we can all follow along.  We’d love to see what mischief you and your family are getting into!

mischief list

Sunday: I always plan a few chores on Sunday that will help make the rest of my week a bit easier.  It’s usually meal planning, baking, and making sure that I’m all caught up on laundry.  It doesn’t take long but it makes starting the work week a little less stressful.

Monday: Let’s face it, Monday’s aren’t great.  So on Monday, put your feet up and relax for a few minutes.  Try a few yoga poses, paint your toe nails, just do something that you find relaxing…A little self-care if you will.

Tuesday:  A little creativity goes a long way.  Bust out the crayons and coloring books and color along with the kids.  Or if you are feeling really daring, finger painting is fun at any age.

Wednesday:  Get your whole family involved in the kitchen.  Bake a dessert or have them help shred lettuce for salad.  Kids love to help in the kitchen and it encourages them to try new foods.

Thursday:  Play a game, play pretend, whatever it is just play.  Have some fun being silly with your family. Trust me, you’ll have enjoy it more than you think.

Friday: Have a date! We have stay at home dates once a week and it is so important to our marriage. Sometimes we play a board game, sometimes we cook dessert just for us, and sometimes we put a movie on and curl up on the couch.  If you can swing a real out on the town date than go for it but staying home can be fun too.

Saturday:  Winter is coming and we’ll all be stuck inside so get out now while you can.  Enjoy the fall colors on a walk in the woods, go for a bike ride with the kids, or a simple game of tag in the yard.  Whatever it is just get outside and soak in the sun while you still can!

I can’t wait to see what mischief you all get up to! Don’t forget to share you pictures and ideas with us.
