As you know, from the last post, our word for 2017 is “Change”.  To help us focus on that a bit more, we mapped out some really simple goals to go along with our word.
Now, we are not rigid in our goal setting.  We know that a lot of things happen over the course of the year and this is why we choose one word instead of a big list of resolutions.  We want to keep our family open to the possibilities that present themselves, which is especially fitting this year as we focus on embracing change.

Change for 2017

The reason for setting these simple goals is just to help direct our focus a bit. We understand that other things may come up and that we may change (there it is again) them over the course of the year and we are just fine with that.   We just wanted a little structure to help us get started.

Goals

Family Life:  Expand on our “No Technology Night” concept by adding “Tech Free Hours” to each day.  We’ve decided that from 5:30-8pm every night is for dinner, visiting as a family, and bedtime routine.

Health and Wellness: Incorporate 1 meatless (we are already doing this) and 1 grain free meal into our weekly meal plan.  We’re hoping this not only boosts our health but also adds some variety to our meals.

Goals for 2017

Homestead: Improve on our maple sugaring operation.  We had so much fun sugaring last year and have loved having our own maple syrup this year.  We are hoping to add 2 more taps and build up our arch a bit.

Business: Get comfortable and confident in our business practices as well as build up a larger local customer base.  Owning Squigglybugs has been a huge adventure so far and we still have a lot to learn.

Have you chosen your word or set your goals yet? I’d love to hear about the,
